Shop Tip:
These sleeves come pre-honed and ready to use. Per Yanmar’s instructions- Clean the exterior of the sleeve with brake cleaner or carb cleaner. Install new orings and then coat the o-ring area and the top exterior lips of the sleeve with oil based paint before re-installing. This helps seal those areas and prevent corrosion. Coat the inside of the sleeve with engine oil to prevent flash rusting during rebuild.
