This range of Weatherproof 12v DC LED drivers from Havit are designed for use with LED lighting. They are distinctly different from regular 12v Garden Lighting Transformers because they deliver a regulated, constant voltage. Without these, the expected life of your LED globes will be reduced.
- IP Rating: IP66 (all sizes)
- Flex & Plug included
LED Lighting is an excellent low-energy, low-cost alternative to regular 12v garden lighting with Halogen Globes. The LED globes are more expensive but due to their low wattage, the size of the cable required is much smaller and the transformer won’t need to be nearly as big either which means you save money. When choosing between LED and Halogen lighting, it is important to note that the light given off by LED globes is more of a hue or glow than a intense shine, it creates a unique effect.
Like 12v Transformers, the way to calculate which one you’ll need is by adding the total wattage of the globes in your system. That number needs to be between 40% and 80% of the total capacity of the driver.
eg. A system adding up to 55 watts would require a 100 watt driver. Using a 60 watt driver would be overloaded at 92% of capacity.
