Wrist, not shoulder
a mini is aimed by the wrist and fingers, for a small, precise, or hard-to-reach target — if you find yourself putting your shoulder into it, you’ve reached for the wrong size and want a full-size brush. Let the tips do it: even at mini scale, the wire and filament cut at the tips; pressing hard just folds the fill and, on brass, wears it out faster. Match the fill every time: equal-or-softer than the surface, never carbon on stainless or aluminum (not an issue here — there’s no carbon in the set), nylon when metal residue or scratching is the worry, brass when a spark can’t be risked. Care by fill: rinse and dry the stainless and brass after wet or solvent work; the nylon just needs a rinse.
