Track the brush along the grout line so the wire works the raked profile and doesn’t scrub the tile faces — a grout brush that wanders spends its energy (and its potential scratches) on the glaze. Use light-to-moderate pressure and let the fine wire cut; with brass, leaning does little except wear the soft wire out faster, since brass won’t out-muscle a deposit the way steel would. Let a cleaner soften the deposit and re-apply rather than forcing dry. Brass wears faster than steel and won’t touch heavy rust or the hardest efflorescence — if it feels like it’s “not working,” the job may have needed the stainless brush (46812), not more pressure on the brass.
