- Texture, masonry, and walls.
- Foam skips the valleys and shreds its face on knockdown, stucco, or block, and holds far too little paint to roll a full wall efficiently even where the wall is smooth — that is a fiber cover’s job.
- And in fast-drying flat latex, an overworked foam face bubbles, so it is the wrong pick for a quick flat-paint touch-up that a short-nap fiber mini would handle faster.
- Buying two doesn’t change the tool’s boundaries; it just means you have two of the right tool for smooth finish work.

Identical to the single cover, because it is the single cover. Load light
foam banks little paint and sags when overloaded. Roll slowly — speed beats bubbles into enamels and clears. Thin coats only — foam can’t build film; two or three light passes beat one heavy one. Lay off one direction for an even sheen. Discard rather than fight the cleanup in solvent coatings — the reason you’re holding two. On the double round end: those rounded shoulders let a four-inch cover feather its passes across a wider panel without stamping a seam.
